help! I can't get the game to start!

Featured Replies

Hey fellow GTA gamers, I have just updated my EFLC to the latest version 1.1.2.0

However, I have problems starting up the game. It shows up an error box that says the following,

Application Error

Exception EFCreateError in module DSOUND.dll at 000116C5

Cannot create file "C:Program FilesRockstar GamesEFLCasilog.txt".

Access is denied.

Also, I have used the diagonistic program on my EFLC and after scanning it,

the diagonistic program just stopped working.

I have no idea on how to proceed. Please help me!

Thanks!

Awesome! It worked perfectly! I played GTA for a less than an hour but the game hanged.

So I restarted the computer and load GTA again, however this time, I was stuck at the loading screen for quite some time

until it finally managed to load the data.

When it loaded the data and I pressed Alt + P, nothing happens.

Below are the information of the diagonistic program tests that I ran.

Yeah, the first time I ran GTA with LCPDFR, it worked perfectly.

Subsequently after I turn on GTA for the 2nd and 3rd time, Alt + P doesn't work anymore.

P.S. I did not edit any files to the GTA file directory.
