Modelling Help

Featured Replies

So I've been playing around with zmodeler for a while, and created a few non-els models, and now I'm moving onto ELS, except I have a bit of a problem (See Spoiler).

The glass or whatever that protects the officers from those sat behind, is blue and not transparent as it should be, and it's blue from the roof of the car down to the floor. Here's a screenshot:

(NOTE:Click for bigger versions.)

If anyone with more experience could help me out, it'd be really appreciated. I'm thinking it's something to do with textures, but have no idea how to fix it....

Thanks Guys,

-Tom

You couly try using one of the four windows as the UV mapper/editor, then using the UV edit tool(but make sure you click the button to use current UV maps in the window!), select the chassis_L0 mesh, and just go through the texture list until you find your blue one. Don't quote me on the exact method, I haven't used ZModeler in quite a while.

Thanks for your reply, but I'm having trouble doing as you asked. The section that is blue is part of the chasis_L0, and I have no idea how to check the material it is using. Any ideas?

Thanks

Just go through the materials editor by hiding every material until you find which one is the divider, shouldn't be too hard.

Ok, I've done that and found that it's using "emerglights vehglass", it's fine in zmodeler, and the problems only exist in game. I've just checked the .wtd and the different textures used by the material are all there.

Thanks for your help guys, it's really appreciated.

I'm puzzled, can you possibly post the layout of the emerglights vehglass's layers and settings for each one?

It's Bxbugs123's unlocked CVPI, Here's a screenshot of the material "emerglights vehglass"... I hope it's what you need.

Do you want me to go into the "edit" button on each texture? I'm not exactly great with zmodeler, all I've done so far is import the vic and add a lightbar. But even with the crown vic downloaded and imported without modification, it's still there.

You already made the texture or you took it from Bxbugs?

The bug is cause because bugs used the emergency texture to map the divider so if you install a els lightbar this can happen-

Correct me if I am wrong

I had this same problem with one of my models, the problem is as "Policefanatic" stated. What I did was add Bug's emergency lights png to my texture folder for the model and rename it then replace the "emerglights vehglass" emerglights file with it. This should not conflict with the png used for the for whatever lightbar you have, at least it didn't for me.

I edited bxbugs's one as it's a little different to the rookie blue one.

@Mawjr, thanks, I'll try that now.
