Okay so I came to the conclusion that it makes no sense to have LSPDFR backup, since all they do is just show up at the scene with guns drawn wander around for a second or two then go about their business. It does not matter wether I'm getting my ass handed to me, or getting shot at, or it's just a normal traffic stop backup.

Isn't this supposed to be working properly?

The only time I see them do this is if I call for back-up and I'm not in a call/chase.  They function properly for me when calling them in.

I've had this usually during a traffic stop. When I try to arrest someone, shit hits the fan in the hood and people turn into terminators trying to kill me. I can call noose for all I know, they just won't care.

Shouldn't LSPDFR recognise the player's enemies?

Double check all your trainers.  Make sure "cops ignore player", "player invisible" and/or any other option is enabled that might alter the AI.  Sounds like you may have something enabled.

I'm only using Simple Trainer and I don't even have never wanted on.

I think you can recreate the scenario by going to the hood (preferably mexican, since they usually don't have guns), and fire a shot in the air. The gangmembers will go apeshit trying to kill you with their fists. That's when you should call for backup and you'll see how they won't do a thing helping you out.
