GTA V crashes after update

Featured Replies

After every update Rockstar releases, we need to remodify the update.rpf file, and once you've fixed that, your game is as good as before.

My problem is, that no matter what I try to do with my GTA now, it keeps crashing before the main menu loads up.

What I've tried:  - completely renaming the "mods" folder to something else

                                - deleting the asi loader and the scripthook

                                - launching the game with or without RPH

What's irritating is that it doesn't want to repair itself either. I've modded the original update.rpf and back then it immediately tried to DL the original version, but now it just doesn't do anything.

Anyone having / had similar problems?
