Howdy, I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but at this point I am quite agitated with GTA V... It appears after the new update "Dooms Day Heist" I am unable to launch the game from steam or via ragehook, anytime I load the story it crashes and this has never happened to me before. I failed to backup my game so I can not revert back to before and I no longer have a copy of the old rage or old scripthook. I have no idea what to do and I even check the Rockstar website for help and I noticed someone else was having the same issue but all Rockstar did was direct them to a page that isn't even relevant to my issue. If anyone has a solution please let me know and if I posted this in the wrong page I apologize but I am in desperate need of assistance, thank you and have a great day.

did you update the update.rpf file in the mods folder

 

cation the  update will take the file back to stock so save what you changed in that file first  then copy paste it back after you update  it

Regardless it still crashes, when I load it in story mode and with rage... I verified game cache too and that didn't help.

but the crash is happening not in game looking at the crash report  its still loading the story mode  did you manually update the games update. rpf  after the update in the mods folder

it will keep crashing if thats not updated

negative, could you instruct me how? i am pretty new to LSPDFR and only have been playing for a couple months. if you could instruct me where to go or how to do it i'd appreciate it 

P.S. i have a mods folder @officer 21

so have u change any files in update. rfp under update in the mods folder.

 

like graphic enhancers ect, make visuals better or visual v etc  or add car to the game  automatic car packs and need to change the vehicle meta files

 will help sorry

every time there is a update in the game you have to update the mods update.rpf folder as rage hook uses the mods folder to load the game  under the bits that have changed

 

what you can do is copy and paste the one in the mods folder out for a copy  paste it to the desktop then go to update out side the mods folder and copy this one to the mods folder update file and try the game to see if it loads.

 

dont delete to one from the mods folder if it works u need it

The point in which your game is crashing has me wondering if it's a gameconfig issue.  Rename your mods folder to _mods

 

and then try loading into the game.

every time there is a update in the game you have to update the mods update.rpf folder as rage hook uses the mods folder to load the game  under the bits that have changed

 

what you can do is copy and paste the one in the mods folder out for a copy  paste it to the desktop then go to update out side the mods folder and copy this one to the mods folder update file and try the game to see if it loads.

 

dont delete to one from the mods folder if it works u need it

I haven't tried it, but wouldn't all your custom vehicles under the mods folder be overwritten by the default vehicles of the update.rpf under the update folder? Hence, this could potentially explain why a lot of people are saying that they only have the default vehicles whenever they play. Additionally, does your method of updating the update.rpf under the update folder result in OpenIV failing to actually update the update.rpf under the mods folder (as in bringing you to the update.rpf under the mods folder but still asking to update once you go back to the update.rpf under the update folder)?

only if they have changed the dlc list addon cars would not show up this file has noting to do with the x64.e or the patchdays

 

update rpf is when  the dlc list are vehilce metas visual enhances etc   you can easy see this when you in the file though open iv

 which you copy and paste the files like that out update it then add them back in

 but looking at the log is crashing at the loading of the story mode 

 

which i was wondering this also but ive only seen it crash at the next stage for the game config

@Kallus Rourke I changed that to _mods and it started working, how would I go about reinstalling mods? LSPDFR would still work but it notified me that EUP wasn't working and would not allow me to use my trainer.

Your trainer should still work even with the mods folder disabled.  Are you able to load into GTA V via Steam or GTA 5.exe?

Any time I try to load in it will crash or take a long period of time to load and then crash, when I changed the folder name it stopped crashing but a buddy of mine did a fresh new reinstall of GTA to fix his issues and just reinstalled everything which is a little more time consuming for someone like myself. I have no idea what to do but I have basically given up, if there's a better solution that'll work i'd be willing to do what I have to do in order to play LSPD:FR again...
