Is there any way to reduce lags?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have been running LSPDFR for a while now and the thing that bothers me the most is the "fixed" FPS drop from 60 to  around 30 as soon as I go on duty. It feels like its written somewhere. I get that running plugins will reduce the FPS. But I didn't thought that it would be that extreme. I tried reducing graphic settings and removing some plugins.

Changing the graphics didn't change anything. I ran it at the lowest settings once and had barely 5 FPS more. Then I removed some callouts and it also got a tiny bit better. Later I installed some visual mods, but they didn't even make it worse.

My Graphics card is the "NVidia GeForce GTX 970" and my processor is the "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690 CPU 4x 3.50GHz". I never had any FPS problem with them before.

Honestly, there is really no fix to this issue except removing plugins, removing graphic mods, and removing add-on cars until you are happy with your performance. Just to give you an idea, my old computer had the GTX 970, an Intel i7 3.5 Ghz and 16 GB of Ram... I had texture / FPS issues and the only way I fixed it was to buy a new computer with improved specs. LSPDFR / the plugins / graphic mods / add in vehicles etc ... all of that combined is A LOT for your computer to take on.

Your CPU and GPU are fine, as long your running at a reasonable resolution and graphics setting. One of my systems are way less speced (GTX 670, i5-3570k) and has no issues with generally high settings and LSPDFR development at 60fps.

Your problem is probably a badly optimized plugin/callout. Try removing some one by one and see where it gets you.

Thank you for the advice. But I don't think I can afford a new PC. Anyways I'll keep trying.

Okay, I removed some Plugins one by one. The main reason that is causing the FPS drops seems to be the Plugins created by Albo1125(Arrest Manager, Traffic Policer etc.). But I really like these and don't want to play without them. So I uninstalled most of my callouts. Now I only have Assorted callouts. The Code 3 Callouts by Stealth22 also were a big perfomanceeater.
