The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Cars not pulling over with new police cars

I haven't had this issue with any of the dozen or so cars I've added so far until today. I added two more cars from POLICESCO's files (LSPD FPIS and Tahoe). When I try to pull someone over I can blip them just fine (SHIFT), but when I activate my ELS lights just like I do on every other car, it doesn't signal them to pull over. I've added these cars the same way I have added all the others, modified the meta, copied over the vehicle files, and the ELS file. They spawn fine, look and drive fine, and ELS is working fine. However with these 2 models I added today, they don't signal the pull over. In the meta file it looks like they have all the appropriate flags (FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT FLAG_EMERGENCY_SERVICE), so I'm not sure what's different this time around.

Did you replace a vehicle, or add these as a standalone?

I changed their name to PDFPIU because all my other Police slots are taken, but when doing so I made the correct name change in the vehicles.meta as well.

You changed the name of what?  What slot did you change the name of?

I changed the name of the vehicles files (.ytd, .yft), and matched the names of them to the meta entry. So it was originally Police4, I changed that to pdfpiu. So in the meta it was an entry for pdfpiu, and the file names were changed to pdfpiu.ytd and pdfpiu.yft

You can't switch vanilla slot names with slot names that you want, it won't work.    Revert that slot back to POLICE4. 

 

If you need more slots, you can either

 

a) Use PRANGER, LGUARD, and/ow policeold slots.

 

or

 

b) Use an actual standalone slot.

I dunno. The guy who wrote that guide seems kind of sketchy, might need to do a ped check on him first ;)

 

Anyways, appreciate the info. I feel like a pain in the ass on these forums but I'm really trying to learn the inner workings of this file system. I'll be honest it's one of the most confusing of all games I've modded, heh.

I didn't even mess with the carvariations file, nore have I ever. Every car I've downloaded has only instructed to replace the car files, the vehicles.meta info, and the ELS. Carvariations is a new to me.

yeah but when you are making one that dont replace a default slot you will need to have a carvariations for that added vehicle

Very well. I'm sure that's in the above mentioned guide, so I'll give it a look. Thanks for the info bud. Another thing to learn in this crazy thing we call LSPDFR! ;)
