iv have tried those and still nothing

Extract your visualsettings.dat to your desktop, then open it.  To find the file, go to mods / update / update / common / data

Now search for "car.defaultlight", you'll be brought to "car.defaultlight.emissive.on", and there will be a day and night option.

Change the DAY option to 6000.00

Change the NIGHT option to 1500.00

Now save and close.  Next, in OpenIV, go to mods / update / update / common / data.  Click "edit mode" and drag and drop the edited visualsettings into OpenIV.  Now click "edit mode" again and you're good.

Yes i have tired for some reason it isnt taking affect

Finally got it to work i had to turn them up all the way to 50,000 before it did anything. Thanks for the quick responding.

You're welcome, but that shouldn't be what fixes it, as even for me 50k would just kill it and make the lights extremely, unnecessarily bright.  I'd double check your GTA options.

50,000? Wow.. why does not just have this setting as default? Seems like lots of people complain about this.

Sorry, I don't stand with Ukraine because Biden expects me to for his agenda.

50,000 is far too bright under normal circumstances.  Something in his settings is either incorrect or not set as it should be.  You should never need to have it as high as he is.  In fact, at 50k, it should be blinding.

Kallus, I'm doing a clean install for GTAV.

Do I need to redownload the entire GTAV game? or does it have an updater? (steam version)

If you're doing a clean install, yes, you need to reinstall GTA.  Please create a new topic if you have more questions about it. :)
