    You need to delete the update.rpf in the mods folder, and copy over the vanilla update.rpf like you did the first time when you made the mods folder.

    Yes, in OpenIV go into mods-->update.  Delete the update.rpf folder within.   Next, go back to the main directory in OpenIV and go into your vanilla update folder.  Right click the update

In your case, I'm not entirely sure what happened, or why your game broke just from making a backup.  Are you able to launch GTA V via Steam/the GTA V.exe?

No... It totally broke :sad: It would not even load in steam anymore... if you clicked the play button for GTA V in steam  it would just flash ''play'' then ''launching'' then ''play'' then ''launching'' and so on...

I tried restarting my PC, validating files, run as admin, compare files from main to back up, I am pretty sure I did something wrong but cant figure out what...

I did that and it said ''Missing files'' but then it had a short download... so I tried it again and it said they where all valid so then I tried to launch GTA V on its own and thats when all that happened...

Rename your mods folder to _mods and try loading in again.  If it still doesn't work, the last thing to try is removing Rage, LSPDFR and ScriptHook.

It still wont open... I renamed the files ''_mods'' still not working and also removed RPH,SH and LSPDFR... what ever I broke I broke it good >.<

 

I am not sure what else to do... start over fresh? which would suck because it took 3 days to download GTA V with my internet connection last time :sad:

Is it possible you actually backed up your game when you were trying to make a backup?

I have no idea? I have to work on the Ambulance tonight so I am just going to reinstall I think... It sucks but we gave it everything we could... but thank you so much for sticking with me and doing your best to help :)

We don't have a full on friend system, but we do have a "follow user" option in our profile. :)  It's essentially the same thing.  (If you go to my profile, you'll see "follow user") :)

Ok so I deleted every thing and it took 3 days to redownload GTA V yet it still after all that had the old files in it and still crashes RPH I deleted, Scriped hook I deleted,LSPDRF I deleted... Still nothing... I dont under stand... any ideas?

Unfortunately no, and yes, it is against the rules to send your game directory to someone.  Furthermore, it's not as simple as just sending the directory and fixing it.  I advise you very that you have all the requirements needed.  These are listed on the Rage site.

Hey Kallus, I might have found my issue... Is there an updated ''script hook'' im missing?
