What's the best CPU + GPU to run LSPDFR smoothly?

Featured Replies

I currently have a GTX 1050 2Gb, with a AMD FX 8120 CPU, and I currently get around 18-25 FPS when using LSPDFR. If I was to get a Ryzen 1500 and a GTX 1060 SC, how much would that boost my FPS? I have about eight callout/control plugins running. Thanks :}

It's pretty much impossible to provide a precise number of frames per second you may be able to gain with any given hardware change.  If going by benchmark comparisons*, it looks like the 1060 has roughly double the performance of the 1050.  This would make sense since it has double the CUDA cores (1280 vs 640).  The 1500X, versus the 8120, appears to come in at around +60% compute performance (with an aggregate sample of Fire Strike scores showing a +113% physics score improvement).  Taken with a grain of salt, I wouldn't be surprised to see about double the FPS.  This is all conjecture since I don't have a 1050 and a 1060 to bench against each other in GTA, nor those CPUs.  Obviously, bumping up the graphics settings will diminish the gains.

* never consider benchmarks to be a definitive and foolproof way of determining system performance increases

I run a 1070, and i will tell you it is pretty much the perfect setup for me.

Good FPS? If I can get above 40 I'll be more than happy :P

im on only an fx-6300 OC and a 1060 3gb and i get about 45fps with a bunch of plugins installed lol... but i am on mostly medium settings, so i will say the CPU will be a huge improvement over the FX series, and then a 1060-1070 is the sweet spot for price to performance.

Oh dude, id save up for a monitor that can handle 120 plus on max settings with multiple graphics mods, i have to turn of vsync because its so good.  I can send you my specs if you'd like, one thing i would reccomend is 32+ gb of ram, i only run16 and i get a few problems because of that. also I dont have a ssd too so idk.

I have a ryzen 5 1600 and a gtx 1050 ti (4 gb). I can say that 1080p High settings with lspdfr tons of plugins i get 40-50 fps. Vanilla gta more like 70-100. My cpu is only being utilized 30 percent even with background processes. So with your 1060, expect 1080p60fps
