Crash on startup

Hello everyone,

today I decided to get back to LSPDFR, so I re-downloaded GTA V, started it one time to make sure it works, and then installed LSPDFR 0.3.1.

This did not work out well, because the RPH version that comes with LSPDFR is too old for the current Game Version.

So I went to the RPH website, grabbed the latest version (0.56), put it in my GTA folder and... the .exe encountered an error, so the game won't even start.

I tried combining and replacing hoping that it would accept the updated RPH but that did not work either.

What I also tried was running GTA with only RPH installed, no LSPDFR. Which worked fine. So it has to be a combination of both that causes some kind of incompatibility.

I also ran Albo1125's Troubleshooter (Thank you for that <3) but it only found the outdated version after I installed only LSPDFR.

I'd really like to play, but this has been bugging me for the last two hours, after waiting for the 70gb GTA download.

I checked all the latest support threads here and on the RPH forum, but it seems that some people could get it to work (kinda) or were stuck at a different point, i.e. game starts but won't load plugins or so.

So if anyone of you ran into this problem or found a way to update RPH with LSPDFR 0.3.1, please share it with the rest of us, I'd be really thankful for that.

If you need any further information please ask, and I shall provide.

I reverted the game back to it's vanilla state, so I can do a fresh start.

Thanks a lot for your time and effort in advance :)

Heya, thanks for your quick reply.

I forgot to mention that I have already done that.

Yes I do. Just downloaded it today, same goes for the RPH files.

I already asked around on the RPH Discord, but nobody had a working solution for me so far, but I did find some others who got the same problem.

Since my first post I've also tried the Windows 10 Creators Update fix that I found on the forum here, but that did not work either.

I got it figured out.

I had to copy the d3d9.dll from the System32 folder to the GTA folder.

I don't know why, but that fixed it. I found it on the official rockstar forum and should also fix crashes with the GTA Launcher.

Me too. And it only took me 5 or 6 hours.

At least I hope I can help others with the solution.
