[PED Help] Replacing Original Sheriff Messes up Textures

Featured Replies

This is my first post and my last option for help. I replaced the sheriff files to Washington State patrol, but when I wanted to replace it with another sheriff, it messed up the textures. I got frustrated so I replaced the files with the original sheriff PED (the one that came with gta) and I'm still getting the Washington State Patrol skin even though there are no files of WSP in there. the folder I installed it to was mods>x64e.rpf>models>cdimages>componentpeds_s_m_y.rpf

I have attached some pictures to help.

Hello,

Are you sure you did it in the mods folder?

Are you sure you replaced it in the right folder i.e. x64e.rpf?

Seeing that the WSP trooper skin is still coming up your wsp skin files are still in the game. GTA V has doubles of a lot of stuff.

Hi, yes I have it in my mods folder and the sheriff in my gta folder is the original one so there is no way that those textures should be in the game because they aren't in the files.

The WSP skin has to be in there somewhere you are going to have to look in your files. If not you will have to re-install for it to have a vanilla copy. That's why these mods in the readme say to backup all your files. I install new modifications weekly , and I just make a backup files of my GTA V weekly as well. Less headache, and I don't have to re-install.

Edit: I found that i took out my dlcpacks folder in my mods and it went back to the original sheriff.
