I cant test that without GTA V updating, dont have ELS cars installed on base game.

Damn, forgot about that part. >_>  The only thing I can advise then is to do a fresh install of ScriptHookV and possibly ELS is the former doesn't work.

Did you install this by any chance?

 

If not, I unfortunately am not sure what to tell you.  Normally, when ELS lights don't work but ELS works, advancedhookv.dll is missing or needs to be reinstalled, or the method of uninstalling OpenIV.asi and ASIloader, reinstalling and restarting works fine.  The last thing I can advise is remaking your mods folder to see if that's the problem, which it shouldn't be unless you installed a mod like B.E.L.

I might have installed that, it was a while ago though. Do you have a ling to AdvancedHook.dll. Maybe it needs to be updated?

If you did install it, B.E.L might be conflicting with ELS.  Advancedhookv.dll comes with the ELS download.

I'm sorry, do you mean B.E.L?  I'm not sure, it has been a very long time since I've used that mod.  If you mean the location of the carcols file, mods / update / update / x64 / data.

You can still test ELS with non-els vehicles.  I have a feeling that either the pack_default folder or the vcf's themselves either got moved or deleted. Please verify that pack_default folder is located within the ELS folder inside the main GTA V folder. If the pack_default folder is there, then verify that all the vehicle VCF's are there. If those are all there, make sure that in ELS.ini it is pointing to pack_default as the main ELS folder.

If ELS wasn't recognizing the car, the control panel wouldn't appear nor would he be able to do anything with ELS. However, just for the sanity of it, Chief, please post a screenshot showing inside your ELS folder, and inside the pack_default folder.

Just to add, that is true, however, the lights would work regardless because they weren't made to work specifically for ELS. :)

@Chief1234 Does the ELS info panel come up with pressing CTL-P ?  On the stock police vehicles, do the extra parts flash? You mentioned that is was a custom car. Is it one you made  yourself?

Yes I made it myself. COntrol panel shows up when hitting CTRL P.  Extra parts do not flash and coronas do not work. Takedowns and assoates extra light up properly. Extra's 1-9 do not show up when hitting J three times. However if ELS is on STG 3 and I try to enable them from trainer they show up. So they exist on the model and were previsouly working. However not it seems that ELS for some reason cannot properly control extras 1-9.

@Chief1234 Now we are getting somewhere.....So on your custom model, the lights do not work...Am I understanding that correctly? And they worked before....correct? In Zmodeler, how is your hierarchy setup? If the extra is a child of something, try moving it to be standalone and test. Seem strange that you can spawn them correctly in the trainer but not with ELS, but stranger things have happened....Try testing 1 extra at a time, by moving the other extras out of the hierarchy.  Can you possibly send me a screenshot of how it is setup in Zmodeler?

I also need you to verify something for me, please.  You previously said other ELS models had been working.  Are all of these models ones you made, or were they other people's?  Essentially, are the only models that aren't working right your models?

hmmm...this changes the playing field entirely......Have you made any changes recently to your OS?  Like updated or anything like that....Sounds now like a dependency is missing that is needed for ELS or something like that....

I haven't changed, it could have updated something automatically though.

That is what I am thinking....try to reinstall the dependencies needed (whatever those MS ones are....the redistributables...) and try again..
