ELS Not Appearing

Featured Replies

Hello,

So I have an interesting problem with ELS. The lights are not appearing. ELS is installed correctly, I hear the beeps or whatever and I get a control panel. Before this gets dismissed, I don'ELS.logt think this is the same problem as one of the other millions of ELS topics saying that lights are dim or not working.

Its not that there dim, its that anything ELS controlled is not appearing. Extra's, even coronas are not appearing but are enabled in the .VCF and are present on the model itself. However Takedowns, Alley Lights, and Dome Lights work. I have already reinstalled ELS, RAGE, SHV, and Radiance V.

This also started to happen after I updated a model which works properly (other than ELS lights). Lights do not appear for previously working vehicles.

Any help is appreciated!

Without sounding like a total noob, you are pressing the 'J' key three times to activate the top lights aren't you?

Yes

Which vehicle model are you using? Have you tested ELS on others?

It is my own model, and yes. Previously working models just seemed to stop working.

It sounds like an issue with the VCF file if ELS is displaying etc.

Try downloading another ELS enabled vehicle and installing the provided VCF, see if that works?

Did not solve it.

Ok, possibly going to be an ASI loading problem then.

Navigate to OPEN IV, then TOOLS, then ASI MANAGER. Uninstall both the ASI LOADER and OPENIV.ASI. Once complete, reinstall them and restart your computer.

Load up the game and see if this fixes it.

Already tried that.

Hmm, I'm at a loss, the only other thing I can think of is that scroll lock is on and this is locking ELS?

Other than that it may be something a little more out of my league.

If you have the mods folder you could try copying the original back into the mods folder? See if this resets it.

This did not work, however I found out that its probasbly and issue with ELS itself. The extras the lights are attached to can be turned on with a trainer only when ELS is activated.

Take a screenshot of your main GTA V directory, please.  Trainers being able to activate the lights is normal, as trainers are able to activate extras.  However, the lights do not stay on permanently.  They flash quickly.

I am aware of this, they flash on quickly and turn off when I do not have ELS active. Once I hit J three times and then activate the lights through the trainer they stay on.

What is Emergency Light and Siren Console Tester?  Do you have Emergency Lighting Revolution installed?  Try removing lightshow.dll and see if that fixes the issue.

I dont think so. Any specific files tied to it?

Just the carcols.ymt.  Rename your mods folder to _mods.  This will stop the mods folder from being used.  Now load into the game and try using ELS.
