Are you using a mods folder?  and where are you installing the visualsettings.dat to?

Here's exactly what i do to get to the visualsettings folder.

Open Open 4, click update, click update.rpf, common, data

Before you do this, verify if it's an issue with all vehicles or just one.  There are some ELS models that have shitty lighting by default, and nothing you edit will fix it.   If it's on all

Alright, but instead of installing that same vehicle, try a different ELS vehicle.

In your GTA V settings, find the option "Shader quality". Set to high.

I got a mods folder.

Are you using it, though?  You said in your previous post open open iv, click update.  The visualsettings needs to go in your mods folder, the same exact path, just with the mods folder being first.

The values I gave you should make the cars look really good at night and day.  This is from my game.

Make sure in the values, you put 6000.00 and 1500.00

I'm sorry, but I only provide support on this forum.  Do you have any other graphics mods or anything else in your game that may edit lights?

In OpenIV, go to the same place you put the visualsettings.  Mods / update / update / common / data.  Double click visualsettings.dat.  You should now be given a viewing window to look at the file.  Scroll down until you find car.defaultlight.emissive.on. for day and night.  What are the percentages set at?

It's almost like your vanilla files are still taking priority over your mods folder, especially since you're unable to add other cars.  Delete your mods folder, please, and redo it.

Yes, or you can just go into your GTA V folder normally and create one.  Remember to copy over the paths from your original directory.

I understand, no worries.

In OpenIV, go to update / update / common data.  You should see a notification warning you that you're not using a mods folder.  If not, it's fine. Right click the "data" folder, and look for "copy to mods folder."  If you don't see this option, go back one in OpenIV, and right click common. You should see the option.

Next, go into your mods folder to where your visusalsettings are located.  Extract it to your desktop.  Open it, and change the values.  Save.  Now click "edit mode" in OIV, and drag the edited visualsettings.  Click "edit mode" again to turn off editing.  You should be done for this part.

For vehicles, do the exact same, albeit a different path.  For vehicles - update / x64 / dlcpacks . latest patchday that has a vehicles.rpf, and right click on "dlc.rpf"--> Copy to mods folder. You should now be good to add in your car.  You don't have to add all the patchdays to your mods folder, but it's a good idea to.

You redid your mods folder, right?  Did you also install this car again? or is this installed in the vanilla files?
