GTA CTD after loading

So I played last night with no problems. Today I opened GTA after installing a Suburban mod, along with RadioRealism and attempting to install a siren mod (couldn't get this one due to an error in openIV, nothing was added or replaced). When going on duty, I would choose my agency and hit enter. Before I could choose my vehicle, I would be stuck at a black loading screen that would spin forever, so I quit and relaunched. Nothing was changed during this period.

 

I did forceduty instead when I reloaded, which loaded LSPDFR and whatnot fine, I was just stuck with Michael's skin and couldn't change it via EUP nor could I spawn vehicles via SimpleNativeTrainer. I quit and relaunched again, again nothing was changed, and I set my skin via EUP before doing forceduty. I could then spawn vehicles and whatnot via SNT. After driving for about two minutes, I noticed that the road textures were EXTREMELY low quality (if you played GTA:SA, like how it was without Streamfix if you had a ton of visual mods), and the roads eventually disappeared. It also looked as if VisualV wasn't enabled for whatever reason either. I quit and restarted my PC, then reinstalled VisualV and the Radiance compatibility files.

 

After doing this, I attempted to launch again. The game went to the loading screen and loaded for about a minute, then I had a CTD. I removed my mods folder to see if I would still CTD while loading, and I did. Here's the error log without the mods folder:

Forgot to mention that I've got the Steam version of GTA. But yeah man, just launching via Steam will CTD in about 30 seconds.

Yeah, I just tried that and I still had the crash. Left mods in, removed plugins & scripts. I tried launching via Steam.

I installed that vehicle mod, I installed RadioRealism, and I tried to install a siren mod but OpenIV had an error with installing the openFormat. That's when I noticed the problem with the roads and whatnot, so I reinstalled VisualV and the Radiance compatibility file.

 

RadioRealism installed correctly, because when I force'd duty I heard all the tones and whatnot. The vehicle mod was originally named as "NOOSE4" when I imported it to vehicles.rpf. When I tried to spawn the unmarked Granger, it was the vanilla one. So I quit and went back into OpenIV and renamed "NOOSE4" to "fbi2". Afterwards I started getting the crashes. I deleted those three Suburban vehicle files in vehicles.rpf, and the crashes still happen.

Hm, none of that should be causing crashes.  Did you replace the deleted fbi2 files?  Assuming you did need to delete some.

No I didn't. I imported the files into the patchday15 vehicles.rpf. I started having the crashes when I switched the name of the file from noose4 to fbi2. I wasn't able to launch after I reinstalled Visual and changed the name to fbi2. After that crash, I completely removed the fbi2 file from the vehicles.rpf.

The only thing I can think of is that something else happened when you tried installing the siren mod.  I assume you have since reverted sirens?

The thing with the siren is that I just got an error when trying to import the openFormat file. It was this error:

Some files not imported, more information below. vehicles.oac(Line 1): Not supported format version, actual: "10" but expected "11".

So as a result, no file was imported. 

And of course any mods I do are placed in the mods folder. That's whats really weird to me. I always do shit in the mods folder, so I'm not sure as to why / how something would effect GTAV.exe.

When you say remake it, do you mean just make a new mods folder and replicate the folders in the old mods folder? So have the same folders and whatnot in the mods folder, but they're completely vanilla files. Or do you mean import all the mods I had in there before?

I mean delete your mods folder, and remake it, as in how you made it the first time. :)   Copy the files over again.

 

If it's still CTD, something vanilla was altered.
