Excessive new files?

Featured Replies

Good evening :)

I've been really enjoying making skins/textures for vehicles over the last couple months. It's also very gratifying to see the attention posts get when are on the "Latest Files" section under downloads. This definitely shows a higher level of traffic (+ for creator), and more people get the opportunity to see what has been posted (+ for community). Win-win for everyone! :)

Unfortunately I've noticed over the last few weeks there are a lot of uploads of skins/textures for individual vehicles. But then the same skin for about 4 other vehicles, also in individual uploads... so now out of the 14 spots, one person has taken up 5 "Latest Files" in a matter a an hour or so, depending on whether they completed all of them first.

My thought is... why not put them in a pack. You'll get the same exposure as everyone else, and everyone can enjoy the "Latest Files" feature. It's discouraging to watch a file that I upload disappear off the list within a matter of hours because a few of us use it for individual files, followed by a wave of files from one or two people.

Just a growing pet-peeve of mine that is becoming all too common it seems like. I realize I'm new to the environment compared to others who have been involved since GTA IV. (I joined Oct. 28th 2016), but I'd like to think we would all get better use of the features of the site if everyone respected the space? Create a skin pack for a group of vehicles and add two that upload.

My two cents :P

Thanks,

Kahlandir
