I'm sure you're familiar with this problem as I'm a pretty intuitive person with computers and this install just seems way harder than it needs to be.

First, i backed up my GTAV folder. Then I made sure I was a few missions into the story mode before installing LSPDFR.

-Installed LSPDFR

--extracted via winRAR to GTA folder

-Downloaded RagePluginHook

--extracted RagePluginHook via winRAR to GTA foler

---replaced current files with new files from Rage extraction

---launched RagePluginHook and this error screen I've attached is where I get taken.

Let me know if you can help. I'm at the point where I'd just rather give someone remote desktop access so they can just do it for me.

Are you using ELS or NativeTrainer? If so, try and update Scripthook to the latest version.

I'm new to this, so I followed a couple different youtube tutorials for installation, and I remember downloading scripthook and extracting those files to the GTA folder but I didn't do anything special for a trainer or anything, the tutorial just said to hit F4 when you're in the game.

Maybe the tutorials skipped some important steps they maybe assumed I would have already done? I just need a tutorial that covers literally everything. ughhh

Your game is horribly out of date. If you are using steam you can verify the game files and it will update to the latest version (1032).

Here's what to do:

  • Download the latest version of LSPD:FR from the mods section.
  • Drag and drop those files into your main GTA5 directory.
  • Download the latest version of Ragehook Plugin - version 0.52.
  • Drag and drop the RHP files into your main GTA5 directory.

That will get you stock LSPD:FR, no plugins/scripts. And like RobertTMN said, you'll need to update your game to the latest version v1032.

I've done this before after updating to the latest game version. I'll make sure everything is in order and then do this again. Then if it doesn't work I'll post back on this topic.

Ok, I found that I had made another GTAV folder and was extracting the mods to that folder, the wrong one.

Now that it starts up and shows police stations on the map, I'm able to walk into any police station, HOWEVER, I am NOT prompted to press E and go on  duty. There seems to be nothing that allows me to press E to go on duty.

Anybody familiar with this issue?
