AI damage mod

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone - I am sick of pursuits with AI that are missing bumpers and driving half wrecked vehicles so I figured out how to edit the handling.meta file to make my police vehicles much stronger. They still show damage (warping, broken glass, paint defects) but no longer have parts that fall off or look completely ridiculous (regardless of how messy the AI drive). The purpose of my post is to find out if I should take the time to package the "modification" and upload to LSPDFR. Is anyone else interested in this? I don't want to spend the time doing it if no one's gonna use it, lol.

Try this:

It's quite old so I'm not sure if it still works.

How funny. I was actually looking for that before I figured out how to do it on my own (because I thought maybe it had been removed). No sense in repackaging the same product then. Thanks!

That's the easy way to fix it, though I'm still curious, how were you increasing the durability in the handling.meta?

Also, since that's a script, it might require more resources and potentially crash.

That's true. It's actually pretty easy to do. I set fCollisionDamageMult to 0.0 and fDeformationDamageMult to 0.35. This still allows some sort of deformation damage but the vehicles stay together and don't look all ratchet 2 minutes into the pursuit.
