Hey guys,

I've been an avid LSPDFR player since the LCPDFR days. I absolutely love this mod and this amazing community that has created something that completely enhances the GTA series.

 

Anyways, I have not been able to get ELS to work in my game and any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to modding and all of it's ins-and-outs but im fairly experienced due to the time Ive put into this game. I have installed ELS correctly, that much I am sure of. At least I followed the installation instructions to a T. Yet the script does not give me any response when I try to activate it in game. There's no sounds, cant use any lighting, cant even pull up the menu. I have tried all sorts of different ELS enabled vehicles and such with no luck whatsoever. This suc,s because I am unable to use any of the sweet ELS enabled cars (im stuck with vanilla police vehicles). The game operates without any glitches or such so i doubt it is a performance issue.

Any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. It would complete my game, literally. 

Did you install the VCF files that came with the ELS enabled Vehicles?

Yep, you just drop them in the ELS file, correct? and even then, would I still be able to pull up the basic menu and such? @BLS501

No, you go to ELS/pack_default/ and drop them there.

Also, you can't do anything except for the key lock without a vehicle with the VCF set up correctly.

And you have to name the VCF files with the exact same name as the vehicle model you are trying to activate ELS for.

Yes. I placed them within the pack_default per the instructions in the readme. @LieutenantDan

It might be because Scripthook V hasn't been updated to the latest game version yet.

@M3Creepsta So i just wont be able to use ELS at all? 

 

I have another question.... The vehicle models I am trying to install now says to put the files into patchday14. But my patchday14 does not have the necessary police, police2, fbi, etc. For me those files are spread between patchdays like 2-5. 

 

Do i still place the files in patchday14 even though the files needed to be replaced are not in that patchday? Or do I scan through all the patchdays and replace the specific police, police2, etc.?

@us.marshal most likely no. ELS is dependent on SHV to run. The newest game version is not supported yet.

 

Secondly, depending on how your dlclist.xml (which is most likely already fine) is setup, you should be perfectly good to go placing the files in patchday14. Just make sure you put them in the right place as directed in the readme.

You can use patchday14ng, it works just the same no matter if you don't or do have the models in the patchday.

Okay so i got the vehicles in and the VCF files.....BUT AGAIN SAME PROBLEM. There is absolutely no response from ELS. I heard that there is a key to turn ELS on and OFF but i dont have a scrolllock key on my keyboard....is that my problem or is ELS just screwed up?

 

Now I am going to have to restore to backups and go back to vanilla files because i cant turn any lgihts on

Just change the keybinding of ELS Key Lock in ELS.ini to something else.

Question: Do you have red text showing up, saying "WARNING - ELS KEY LOCK ACTIVE"?

Also, do you have AdvancedHookV.asi in your Grand Theft Auto V folder?

No, there is no text. And yes i tried to change it to the number "4" and nothing happened. Is my game version too new for ELS to even work?

Are you running 1011 or 1032?

im running rage 51

Also, go to OpenIV, and go to Tools/ASI Manager, from there if there is something uninstalled, install it.

I have everything installed on OPEN IV.....i checked that earlier because i thought it couldve been a problem,

 

 

Ive been working on this for days so im glad i have more brainpower thinking about this now

@M3Creepsta is GTA 1011 supported with ELS?

I can relate... trust me.

Maybe you didn't install ScriptHookV, or all components of ELS?

I dont think I replaced the SHV when prompted to replace or keep

So try reinstalling it.

Also, ELS is supported with 1011, I'm using it right now.

Crap, I will try in about 15 min. Im currently restoring the whole thing from a backuped version made just before I started messing with the vehicles. I diddnt think it'd work so i was restoring to vanilla. Ill replace the SHV and keep you updated man
