Is anybody going to help me?

My GTA V is not working, because everytime I try to load a car model, the game starts removing/lowering resolution of the road and building beside me, and it's unplayable. Any and all answers are appreciated.

Doesnt tell me what year it was made nor the gen of processor.....all that doesn't mean squat is it's not able to process something it wasn't coded for.....it could also be a bad model idk what car you are trying to load

Lol I've got 16GB RAM, 3GB VRAM, 3.4GHz processor and GTX 980 GPU.

Report it to the R* support tickets. If no one here has experienced this issue, no one will know how to fix it. Try replacing the car(s) you are having issues with back to the default. If it works, then it is probably just the cars. If not, try re-installing the game. If neither work, R* may be your only help.

I've also never had any problems like this before.

HDgamerzPC, I tried many different models. When I use stock models, it works fine.

I have an Intel Core i7 4770, and it used to work just fine with custom models before 1011.

The only thing that can be recommended is to make sure you graphics drivers are up-to-date. If so, re-install the game. Once completed, install mods one at a time. In fact, I would install just scripthook, the trainer, and then install a single car mod and see if the same issue occurs. If so, it is something to do with the game, your pc, and drivers. If not, continue to add mods one-by-one until you have it all done or the issue occurs again. If it occurs after adding a certain mod, it is that mod causing the issue.

Killer Network Manager is a great way too prevent this kind of problems.

This program prioritizes packets going to and from a device on a network. This has nothing to do with this situation. If, for example, he was experiencing this issue while driving around in GTA: Online, this could have been a possible way to prevent it. However, since this is only a singleplayer occurrence, network packets will have nothing to do with it.

I had problems with textures as well for singleplayer. Once I installed this, it gave GTA V a high priority and it stopped messing up the textures.
He definitely should give it a try

If that is actually what fixed it, it will have more to do with OS priority than network priority, which is what the website says this program does. OS priority can be set by going to task manager>details>and then find the .exe for gta, ragehook, etc. and set then to a higher priority than what was previously set. @Lieutenant Dan You can try this aswell.

That works not the same as this. I also tried it with R6S and the recommended graphics settings became higher then usual.

If you do it via task manager, it's not going to work as good as this.

Besides it's just a suggestion. It worked for me, so I guess this will solve it for him too.

I've tried everything, nothing worked.

Also, the game isn't loading anymore. It's just staying on "Loading and Populating Game World".

I've tried updating update.rpf, installing a new gameconfig.xml, everything. I really need help because I'm making a callout plugin and I need GTA V to work.

Did you install things one by one? If your default works just fine it must be a mod.

Also the game was just updated between last night and today, rph was updated and I don't think scripthookv has been updated yet so that may be causing the hang...or the mods folder needs to be updated with the newest patch data

Yes, I know that as soon as I spawn police2 (my modded model), the problem ensues. If I have 3 or more models, the game doesn't load. I have never had any of these kinds of problems until now.

I downgraded to 1011 using RPH backup.

I have the same issue on an even higher spec system. Thing is, the cars aren't even heavy. However, I run the game off a HDD not an SSD which is a common cause. I'm going to put it on my SSD when I clear up enough space. My game does load though. I also never used to have the issues even with more higher detail and resource heavy cars.

I know how frustrated you are.

Check task manager, how much ram is free, how much GTA uses, check computer temperatures using OpenHardwareMonitor and re install graphics drivers.

Use another gameconfig.
I use: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-5-gameconfig-300-cars

I have replaced all RDE vehicles and a few standard vehicles from GTAV and don't have any problems at all.

Thanks for all your help, but I fixed it myself. It was simply the fact that I was dropping files straight from WinRAR to OpenIV. Dragging them to a desktop folder first fixed that issue.
