Hello fellow LCPDFR fans,

Tonight some buddies and I will be playing the mod. Although we are not a hardcore role playing group of friends we will be doing some light role play. We will use the designators from DAS and some light ten code usage. Obeying traffic laws is required.

In an effort to ensure smooth gaming tonight only the following mods are approved:

LCPDFR latest version

DAS latest version

Trainer

Please do not use or have installed any others, though sound files for different sirens should be fine. That means no car mods, no ELS or anything else, we found a much smoother experience with little to no crashes by running the game this way last night.

we will be running the official teamspeak even if you dont have a mic it is encouraged that you listen in. add drakedge to your windows live and steam friends list.

Game is tonight at 6 PM EST though it is likely some of us will be playing 30 minutes or so early.

I'd like to join, but I have the ambulance (non-ELS) modified, as well as the handgun, and cannot seem to find my backup files to replace them. Any chance I can still join despite this?

Yeah, but you are likely to crash, or crash others...

If you have have the steam version of the game, you can actually get the back up files pretty easily. To do this, delete the files that were modded. For example Vehicles under models > cdimages delete that, as well as the hand gun file, once you have done that you can right click on GTA 4 in your steam library, select properties, and inside there you will find an option to varify the integrity of your game files.

Run that, it will then find the missing files you just deleted and download them again. However, it is also possible for steam to detect other mod files as missing files and replace them.

So once you are done with that, you can re-install LCPDFR, and the Trainer, and DAS, then you will be fine. It sounds like a lot but its pretty simple hehe.

If you don't have steam, try the file that Modking just suggested.

Anywho there is a pair of us here, and we're always looking for more players to come join in on the fun. Add Drakedge to your steam, and windows live friends.

There will be another game tonight, at the same time using the same mods as before. Last night we had a good game with only a couple crashes. FAR less crashes than we had experienced using additional mods.
