Right dpad on controller no longer arresting suspects?

Hello,

this literaly just started happening after I stopped playing for a while. I got back on and holding the right dpad no longer stops or arrests suspects... I'm using an Xbox one controller through USB if that matters.

It's a known bug. One way to fix it is to arrest someone at gun point and then release them. This will fix the "stopping" feature for a bit but it randomly goes in and out. Modders all say its a hard-coded issue, so hopefully the next version of LSPDFR will address.

I was just going to make a thread about this and other silly glitches that just started for me today. Im no programmer, coder but if the silly crap ever got sorted out this game would be beyond legendary

So Im now also having this issue for the first time but I cant arrest anyone or interact with them using the Right DPad at all. Any suggestions?

For me what fixed it was aiming my gun or taser and doing it that way. Sometimes it fixed the bug. Now I just the stop the ped script and it always works.

What Lawenforcementjoker said is the only way of fixing it. You can also use the mod "Stop The Ped" which fixes the bug and adds a lot more options.
