I get the cars to appear in game and right now the siren works but when I press Ctrl P it just pauses the game. I've pressed ScrLK and all that does is say no waypoint found or whatever. Did I not install ELS properly? I could of swore I did but would anyone be able to tell me what part I messed up on?

I had the same problem. I just changed the pause key to a different key, and it started working for me.

I didn't have any kind of problem like that, personally, but if you press " J " instead of trying to open the UI, are you lights turning on? Like pressing J once, or 3 times, doesn't matter if it works yo should see a change anyways

 

Did you make sure you had properly put your [vehiclenname].xml in the ELS\pack_default\ folder ?

From what I can tell, a trainer is messing with ELS. Scroll Lock is used by Simple Trainer (5.1) to teleport to your waypoint. To disable this, it's quite easy, I think you have to go into the first menu on the trainer, then from there go to the second menu under that section and it should be under there. That is, of course, provided you actually have the trainer xD

 

Anyways about the Ctrl+P issue, unless you change the keybinding in the ELS, it will remain, as in the vanilla game one of the default buttons to bring the pause menu up is to press P.

I changed the key binding and still no luck with it popping up i'll try the J thing and the trainer suggestion next.

Did you see my question about the .xml file ? 

If you don't have the .xml file in the correct folder, neither the UI nor the lights won't show up in game. The xml acts like a configuration file for the vehicle.
