another question....can I only do one patrol vehicle type at a time or is it unlimited??? This model replaced the "police3" which I think was the GTA V version of the Ford Police Interceptor Sedan...

You mean have multiple vehicles in one slot such as police 3? No, you can only have one vehicle per slot.

No. I meant, since I have "Police 3" and I saw a "Police 2", can it go higher for each vehicle like say "Police 8" for a Challenger Hell Cat, Police 9 for slicktop charger, police 10 for slicktop FPIU...etc. 

 

Also, I now have a working ELS.....turns out I needed to download "GTA V C++ ScriptHook loader by Alexander Blade"....after that I was able to pull up the ELS switch box....a lot of features and options....feels like I should have a binder going on for all of the controls.

Unfortunately no. In terms of number, Police4 is the highest it goes.  If you want more police cars, you can start installing standalone cars and setting them as backup/responding units.

In OpenIV, go mods / update / update / common / data.  Extract "Visualsettings.dat" to your desktop and open it in Notepad++.  Look for "car.defaultlight.emissive.on".  You will now see a day and night option.  Change the day numbers to 6000.  Save, and put the visualsettings.dat back in the same place you extracted it.  *Make sure you enable "edit mode" in OpenIV prior to placing the file back in.

I don't see a "car.defaultlight.emissive.on" part, but I see a 

 

car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on    1.50

car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on    1.50

 

Is this what you meant??

That is exactly what I mean.  Change day to 6000, and night to 1500.

 

If one or the other is too bright for you, just go back in and turn them down a little.
