Old callouts don't play anymore

Featured Replies

I have about 4 callout scripts in the proper folder (GTAV>Plugins>LSPDFR), however, I only get about 5 callouts out of those 4 scripts. There should be at least 20 calls in total. It seems when I installed other callouts, some callouts were taken away in a sense (they won't dispatch anymore), but when I remove the new callouts, the old ones start playing again. Any ideas on how to fix this? It's almost as if some callout scripts are more "powerful" in a way than others and won't let the other ones play.

Interesting. I have had call out issues and so went through the website and deleted from my folder any that didnt support 0.3b or stated they were not stable.

I then installed Callout Manager today and I found a lot more calls than dispatch, but many dont work. I found some are area or time specific, and others simply dont exist in the dll any more.

However, am keen to hear others ideas on the fact you say that if you remove certain calls, then others start working. This may be an issue for me too, but unsure as I have a lot installed now.

Which callout packs have you got? Which ones are new and which ones are old?

What might be the problem (although without more information I'm wildly speculating) is that there is a big difference in the priority of the callouts between the different packs. When developing callouts, developers choose one of a small range of callout probabilities (low, medium, high, very high and always) which affect how likely the callout is to be randomly offered.

As @Jason_Ness points out, even with something like Callout Manager, even when a callout is triggered (either manually or randomly), it may choose to decline to run before you even see it and have a chance to press Y. This might be based on conditions like your current location, the game time etc.

As you might guess, I make PeterUCallouts. I love working to bring LSPDFR players the kind of callouts that strike a good balance between realism and fun and are stable & varied!

Unfortunately I cannot offer support via PM -- please use the forums, so that others may benefit from your solutions!
