Siren "J" Button toggles Backup menu

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

As the title says, the fixed command from LSPDFR to activate the siren sound "J" also activates the backup menu, which should only work with the LSPDFR key "B".

I do not have ELS vehicles, and I just did a clean reinstall of the game and all the mods. There is no keybinding interference neither.

It just looks like for some reason LSPDFR has 2 commands mapped to the same key.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks in advance!

What all plugins do you currently have?

When you press "B", what happens?

I do have a bunch of plugins such as CutomBackup, betterEMS, searchWarrant, traffic control, traffic policer... pretty much all the LSPDFR Must-Have to make the game enjoyable.

However, I made sure that all the .ini have no interfering keyBinding.

When I press B, nothing happens.

The picture below has all the list of installed plugins (as compressed before installing).

Thanks for the quick reply btw :D

Did you change keybindings for GTA itself?  I use a controller, so I don't know what most buttons on keyboard do, but did you change the keybinding from whatever B was to J? (I mean did you pause the game and go into keybindings section)

Yup. I am on a controller too (;

While you can't change LSPDFR keybindings, their function does change when you change the game's keybinding.  Go back into your GTA keybindings menu and change whatever "J" is set as to "B".

Nothing is set to "J" on the default key bindings of GTA V :O

But on the other hand, I resolved the problem (somehow?!)

It was DS4Windows tricking LSPDFR apparently. I just played with the DS4Windows settings a little bit and it worked.

Now, everything is back to normality.

This mystery will remain unexplained...

That's strange.  Don't have a clue what DS4Windows is, but I won't ask questions. :P

Do let me know if you run into any other issues!

Okay thanks!

DS4Windows is an XBox controller emulator to use a PS4 controller on Windows :)

Ahh.  If I may, check out the Thrustmaster GPX (Xbox 360) controller.   It's quite solid, and doesn't require any extra programs.   Though maybe you prefer PS4 controller. :P

Custom Backup uses the J key

As mentioned on the third post, I did remove all keybinding interference. My custom backup ini file no longer uses J.

The weird thing is, before I could remap my controller PS key to activate J in the keyboard, and I no longer can.

But at least J doesn't activate the backup menu anymore.
