ELS Lights Stopped Working

So, I installed ELS on my game yesterday and everything was working fine.

Today, I jumped on and tried to get it to work. Nothing. Here's the log. I made no changes to the game since having it working fine yesterday.

The siren controls still work fine, but the lights don't work at all. I can pull up the control panel, but I can't operate the lights. I've gone into the config settings and everything looks fine n there as well.

Now, I understand that a bunch of other people have been having this same issue. I'm thinking it may be specific to Steam users.

Any ideas? I'll post more stuff if needed.

I have exacly the same issue my ELS has stopped working too

Double check 2 things, please.

1) advancedhookv.dll is in the main GTA V directory.

2) If your keyboard has scroll lock, press it and see if it makes any difference.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

Both of those things are fine. I restarted my system and ELS seems to be working properly.

Somehow, none of this has fixed the issue on my end. I just cannot figure out what caused it. Worked fine until today. Out of the blue, only the tail lights flash.

Neither of these worked?

Here's something else to try.  In OpenIV, go to ASI manager and uninstall ASI loader and OpenIV.ASI.  Then click install again to reinstall them.    Load in game and check. If there's no change, restart your PC and try again.

Checked all of that, restarted PC, didn't work. Yet again.... Out of the blue... It started working. Can't put my finger on what caused it the 1'st time though. A silent Windows Update perhaps? Either way, all is well at this point. Thank you Arariel for your continued support on not just this thread, but many others I've seen. Have a good one buddy

At this point, I'm convinced ELS is like a teenager.  Will work and cooperate sometimes, but it has its days where it's moody and won't do jack squat.

Glad it's working now for you, and you're more than welcome!  Always happy to help.
