I am trying to install police cars to a police 5-8 slot. How do I make this so they will spawn in game? Thanks.

Either use RDE to make them spawn on their own, or use a trainer to spawn them for yourself.

Also, you can edit the backup.xml to have them respond when you call in backup. Obviously, the cars need to be installed first.  If you need help installing add-on cars, check the link in my signature.

Ok but editing the files, and metas do I change all the names to say police6? Especially in the vehicles.meta

Only modelName, txdName, and gameName.  HandlingID needs to be a vanilla vehicle.

copy that and then it should spawn? Because I had a few saved as CHP1 and it would not spawn.

Yep, it should spawn.  It also needs a carvariation line.

I tried this, and looked at what you've got in your signature, but the car I've put in doesn't seem to have any vehicle audio. When I drive around there's no engine sound, nor is there any door opening/closing noise, etc. Siren works, though.

Ahh! Look for this line

 

<audioNameHash />

 

Change that to this:

 

<audioNameHash>POLICE</audioNameHash>

 

Or you can change that to FBI, POLICE2, POLICE3, SHERIFF2, SHERIFF. Whichever suits your needs.  Remember, once you have saved the meta, throw it back into OpenIV.

yes, i even checked it again and again, when i search for it, it comes up just when i try to spawn it the game crashes
