The CHP uses this on the side of some rambars

I want to use it on a tahoe but I am at a lost

It actually isn't an ion. We know that the ion is a much smaller lighthead, although it is in fact offered in whelen's newer "V" configuration.

 

It appears to be a whelen 500 series based on the size,  in one of the older raider  housings. It seems like CHP has utilized these housings for some time in their pushbar lights. Seems kinda useless to have on the side of a pushbar when it could just be surface mounted with the flange, but thats just my opinion 

 

here is the lighthead itself.  Not sure if  putting it in the raider housing is something they just make for CHP or their installers just purchase the housings and put the lightheads in them per CHP's spec.
