Major Texture Loss with plugins RDE + ELS

Featured Replies

Hello! I'm hoping a few people here can help me fix the issue I have..

I have Realism Dispatch Enhanced installed and that worked for a while (No Grand Theft Auto 4 Texture loss) but then I changed every Realism Dispatch Enhanced Law Enforcement Model with realistic ones from Lore-Friendly cars, from what I saw it didn't have any texture loss then I used ELS (Emergency Lighting System), So that wasn't the Issue, Now once I load in LSPDFR (Going on Duty) everything dies and losses Textures but only some areas will give it back (the textures)

If you have any ideas of what I should do please respond thanks guys have a merry christmas!

i'm pretty sure, that model's you using is too high poly, just open 3-4 models, of polycount more than 100,000 the problem is it.

I'm sorry I don't understand what that means?

it's mean that models of vehicles (yft, ytd) which one you using to replace added RDE vehicles is too high poly, because authors don't care about optimization

i hope it's more understandable

I have the same problem but not using RDE, Anyways

Does that mean if one car's poly is over 100,000 it starts to texture loss or all cars added togheter? Because if its all added togheter it would be like millions of polygons

well, let's calculate :

when you game NOT MODED, default cars are 60-80k in LOD0, and 20K in LOD1

when you game MODDED, in most of cases cars are 100-150k, and the same count in LOD1

(some cars from 5mods (not police) have even 500k in LOD0 or more)

so, 1 modded car=2 or 3 original cars

And also need to say about modded textures. Rockstar never used 4K skins for vehicles, but people use

Also, if you replace files in the rpf multiple times, you need to make defragmentation sometimes, because archive becomes larger

Also, 1 more question

I was thinking about getting SSD so maybe it will load the textures faster, is it true if I cross the 100K poli limit or will there still be some kind of texture loss?

the game engine can't render so many polygons in one frame, so texture loss problem will be anyway
so there's only 2 ways :

don't use high poly models (best way)
use not many high poly models (alternative)
