GTA IV Not Launching via Steam?

Featured Replies

I installed all the mod everything is installed properly but when I click "play" on steam it says loading but does not launch.

Im on windows 10. Any fixes?

Any script mods (LCPDFR, trainers, etc.) are not compatible with the current version of Grand Theft Auto IV, as the update arrived without the slightest of warnings and modding community had no idea it would happen. That being said, as ScarletDraconis has stated above, you need to manually downgrade your game to the previous version, which is 1.0.7.0.

I have a product update error, Steam, license, used to work, set modes - stopped running, and do not update because of this error when installing the patch.

Hi,

before I show you how,

PLEASE MAKE A BACK UP OF YOUR FULL GRAND THEFT AUTO INSTALLATION!

I my self at the time did not know about the new patch until I checked my game version for something else. I reinstalled GTAIV (steam version) and it had patch 1.8 but I ran patch 1.7 (download here) and it seems to have done the trick.

Please avoid downloading LCPDFR or other modifcations, as the there is a problem with downloading them!
