Police Lights Don't Work on Modded Police Car

Featured Replies

I downloaded and installed the Transit Police car (found below). Then I went into my game and the car spawned with no problem and it looked great but the only problem is when I press E to turn all the lights and sirens on, the only thing that comes on is the siren and no lights. I renamed the Noose2 and Noose files to Policeold1 and Policeold2 to replace the north yankton police cars. I also have this problem with the police transport vehicle (also shown below). I replaced that with the default police transport and when I spawn the transport it spawns fine just like the Transit police cars but, again, when I press E the siren only comes on. I have about 6 other police cars installed in my game and they all work fine and the lights work fine. I have RadianceV installed. If someone can please help I would really appreciate it!

You will need to edit (or add) policeold1 and policeold2 to the carvariations.meta file

Ok and how do I do that?

Edited by FutureTrooper0407

Use Open IV and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\update\x64\dlcpacks\mpluxe2\dlc.rpf\common\data\carvariations.meta

Click Edit then select copy to Mod folder

Right click on the carvariations.meta folder and extract it to a folder where you can find it.

Minimize the Open IV window and go find where you extracted the carvariations.meta. Open it (it should be opened in Notepad)

Change the Nameofvehicle (in between the model name ) to the required name in your case policeold1.

Then repeat for policeold2 then save the document (make sure you keep it the same name)

Open your Open IV window right click on the carvariation.meta this time selecting replace. Replace it with the edited carvariation.meta you edited.

Close it all up load your game and now it should work
