Hello, I am about to buy GTA IV for steam. My friend says NOT to buy it, but instead to buy it directly from Rockstar Games. He says that the GTA IV bought from Steam wont be able to save game files, I know this isn't true, but I just want to make sure.

Interesting...I have portal 1 and 2 that run through steam...and they save my games....funny...it'll be fine...btw...not related to lcpdfr

I've heard buying on Steam is really good. I've heard it runs ALL the mods, and automatically patches.

And yes, it has to be able to save game files. Or else they would cheat.

Dammit, ninja'd.

Not to argue, but it is kinda, without GTA IV, there is no LCPDFR. Anyway thanks for the info.

I have both versions of GTA IV through steam and have never had a problem, just make sure you back up your GTA IV have a complete backup because downloading 14 gigs takes some time! Good luck!
