NEW PC

Featured Replies

I need a new PC & I do not have the time and the resources to build one from scratch. All I need is a DECENT PC that could run LCPDFR on Med. Settings with other mods. So, here is the one that I picked out. Please let me know what GRAPHICS CARD I should get for it. THANKS!

Yeah that will not run gta5 on medium settings. Let alone with mods.

Ok Thank You Very Much. Would you have any idea on what kind of graphics card would be good/fit/work for this PC?

Maybe, 1 sec let me look it over further. It takes more then a good graphics card to be able to run a game.

Yeah there is no point in even upgrading this thing. After you buy the pc put in a brand new graphics card etc. It will cost more then how much it would be to buy a good gaming pc off the bat. You can get a capable gaming pc for around 500 bucks. But the more you go up in the price and better it will perform and the long it will take for it to be outdated. Not to mention this thing is used "refurbished" if money is an issue I understand but go the extra mile and get a 500 dollar one. I recommend ibuypower.com if you have any further questions feel free to ask.

I found another that may be better when you get a graphics card. Tell me what you think.

400 bucks isn't really gonna get ya a pc that can run gta5

I just went on and purchased an Alienware system. It only rung up to be approximately $3,000 so it wasn't that expensive. It runs the game on maximum settings with an ENB. I don't recommend purchasing the laptops though, they're pretty bad. There are also some other gaming brands out there if you'd prefer another manufacturer.

Is this PC part of your $400 budget? It's not a bad start but it's not going to run GTA V on its own.

The biggest drawback of pre-built systems are the power supplies. Kinda limits you as to what GPU you can put in safely.

However this system + a GTX 750 Ti (about $99) should run GTA V at med settings.

If I purchased a GT 730, I could run LCPDFR on this PC, Right?

Maybe, but it'll look and run like a PlayStation 2 game.

You'd have to run on the lowest settings, and you'll get about 25 - 30 FPS.

I'd really recommend not getting anything less than a GTX 750 Ti - It uses hardly any power so PSU isn't an issue & You should be able to run the game at medium settings.

I had a quad core 4gb ram pc with a gt 430 and it played lcpdfr fine for me. But I'll take your word and purchase the GTX 750 Ti

3D Mark Scores:

GT 730: 924

GT 750 Ti: 3687

That's more than 4 times better performance.  GT 730 has one of the worst performance for your dollar rating.  Personally, I wouldn't even run GT 750 Ti to play GTA V as you'll probably be playing on some of the lowest settings and barely scraping by 30fps.  GT 730 should be completely out of the question.

Trust me, I used to shop around for "good deals".  But cheap video cards are technically the worst deals you can find in terms of how much performance you are getting versus how much money you are spending.

Definitely spend a few extra dollars so you don't regret it later on, just my .02 cents.
