The Sirens Light is Not Working

Featured Replies

Hey!

I installed two Sprinters for LSPDFR, and they come with the same file. When I installed them the lights on one of them worked, but not on the other one. Does anyone know a vehicles.meta that might works for both?

Could you perhaps provide a bit for detail. For example: give a link to the Sprinter mod. I'm no genius when it comes to vehicles.metas and carvariation.metas, but if its a lighting issue, it's most likely to do with the carvariation.meta.

Hey! Sure! https://www.gta5-mods.com/paintjobs/danish-mercedes-sprinter-group-wagon-gruppevogn-on-scene-commander-indsatsleder These are the sprinters and in this file there's only one vehicles.meta, but only the lights of the blue car is working. Thanks for helping!

Lights typically deal with the carvariations file, in particular the siren setting, rather than vehicles.meta. When installing the model(s), did the instructions or readme say anything about replacing or editing a carvariations?

The problem is that hasn't made a readme :/

Yea I noticed that his instructions on the site are pretty limited as well. Question, when you added these models did they replace a vehicle model or were they add ons?

No, I made a completely new mods folder. I started by installing the sprinters and then I checked if they worked, but they didn't

Even if you made a mods folder, they could still replace a vehicle model. When you downloaded the models, what were their names?

I'm thinking that these vehicles were add ons, not replacements, and with add on vehicles (especially police vehicles) they don't just need a vehicles.meta, but a carvariations file as well, which doesn't seem to be provided in the download.

These were the names: policet+hi.ytd, policet_hi.yft, policet.ytd and policet.yft. I don't think they replaced any cars, i'm pretty sure.

Hmm... you're right it looks like they replaced the police slot. Did you place the vehicle files in the path, "(mods)- Update - x64 - dlcpacks - patchday3ng - dlc - x64 - levels - gta 5 - vehicles. "?

Yes. But I just took another look and I don't think they replaced a car. They just got in.

No they replaced the police slot...even if the original police files were not in patchday3, they still got replaced by the ones you added. When you say one of the vehicle's lights works, which one was that? What was the name of that model?

There're two cars, the lights on the blue car worked, but not on the white.

Yes...  what was the model name of the car that is working? You said the model name of the nonworking model was "police", what did you replace for the model that is working? It might be something like police2 or police3.

That one that is working replaced sheriff2.

Hmm... maybe just make sure that the siren setting for the police slot is set to 1 in the carvariations. If you're not sure if you have one for the car just add this to an existing carvariations file:
