I'm trying to use a PS3 controller on my PC until I can get a new Xbox controller (old one died out on me). However, when I plug it into my PC via the charge wire, the player indicator lights blink infinitely and Player 1 doesn't turn steady to indicate that the controller is connected. Help??

If I recall correctly from when I did this, which was a long time ago you have to install the Xbox 360 controllers driver and another program which will basically make your computer think it's a Xbox controller. Downside to this is that all the button hints and controller settings will show the Xbox controller buttons. If you search "How to use a PS3 controller on computer" into Google you'll find a tutorial relatively quickly.

I know how to use it for games, but it won't actually connect to the computer. The PS3 controller's indicator lights blink when the controller is searching for a connection, and the lights never stop blinking when I try to connect it to the PC.
