Featured Replies

The game says its using only 4gb of ram but my graphics card is 8gb

Also if your using the steam version turn on FPS to gives us a idea of how bad the lag is. 5-15 FPS can be caused by mods and scripts but if it's something like going from 60+ to under 30 then a issues might be with the fact that you have too many 'tasks' running in the background

it goes between 30-80 fps, and lags especially when driving fast, not sure why, I had to delete my scripthook because that caused my game to crash so it doesnt crash now but it lags too much for my liking

Processor: Intel(R)Core(TM) i7-3770k CPU @3.50 GHZ

Installed Memory (RAM) 8.00GB

You "only" have 8 GB of RAM. I assume you have lots of plugins installed (maybe even Keep Calm, AI/Pursuit improving plugins, ...?). Some plugins are very ressource-heavy and will consume lots of RAM. Having GTA V and maybe even some other programms + OS running with 8 GB is a bit too little. The best GPU will be useless when you dont provide enough memory.
I myself runned GTA V with 8 GB RAM for 1+ years and its defenitly playable, but when you want more FPS I personally think you should either:

1) Upgrade some RAM, 8 GB will be around 50€ depending on what your are using atm.

2) Change settings for some plugins: If you have Keep Calm installed, try reducing the radius where the plugin works.

3) Uninstall some plugins.

This is only my personal thought about this, the problem might aswell still be something else we havent thought about yet. Maybe start off with monitoring your system ressource usage and play around with some plugins before doing something else.
