Hello!

 

I've finally got around to updating my game, and one of the first things I did was throw in ELR (Emergency Lighting Revolution), Radiance V (high settings), and turn my postfx on high.  In my older game, these were all I needed (if I remember right) for my lights to look like this:

 

 

 

 

 

Now the lights just look like this:

 

 

 

 

The lights used to be very blinding and bright (mainly at night), but now it looks as if RadianceV isn't doing anything to enhance the lights.  I chose the ultra bright setting, even changed the xml that came with it.  I changed my postfx to ultra and the lights still looked like this.  I'm not sure if this is something in GTA, or if I'm forgetting something.

Try to use the Visualsettings that came with this mod

That worked for me.

This is really aggravating.  My lights looked plenty bright.  Now it's as if I don't even have postfx on.

I'm sure they are, but, your shader settings are on high correct?

Yeah, it was how GTA was when I reinstalled, so left it.

Yea I thought so. I use Radiance and I'm facing a similar issue where cars like TheHurk's and Bxbugs used to become really bright from a distance. It's almost like they'd transform when you moved a certain distance away. After the update they do not look as good from a distance. Messaged Bugs about it, no answer.

I don't think it's something they can fix.  Rockstar must've fucked with something.

Yeah I feel the same way. I noticed it when I was messing with the LSPD pack that you were helping me with, and it brought to toward that sheriff tahoe that I know looked BOSS when i used it, and thats why I posted about the same thing because it looks trash.

My lights are super bright reflecting off of buildings but barely show up on the lightbar night or day. I have radiance V installed, tried ELR, tried EVL etc. to no avail. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. It's kinda ruining my LSPDFR time right now lol.

Just an update if you're curious.  A friend had me install BEL and Brighter Lights.  Now my lights look good again!  I've attached some images as examples.  Granted, at night some of the lights are a little too bright, but it still looks nice.

Does the bright light mod work well with BEL?

I have BEL mode and some emergency vehicles are not bright

Yes.  I have both installed. XD It's probably why some lights are bright as fuck.

There may be if you tweak the settings a bit, I just installed them and left it.  I'd rather have hella bright lights then have extremely dim ones.

True... I have dim ones for LED models, rotars and BxBugs.... are fine ..... I wonder if the emissive light for night was messed with I just don't want to change too much because I use VisualV  1.029 and Natural Vision 1.4

The one thing I have noticed with both of these, at night, it's a little harder to drive with the lights on.  The lights being on seems to darken the game.
