hello new to modding and just wanted to see if someone was able to lend me a hand. i am trying to mod my gta vehicle files. i downloaded a vehicle pack that is for the police i wanna use that same pack and put it in for the sheriff vehicles and then reskin them but im not sure how is their someone who could help me out that would be appreciative.

Have you tried using the searchbar on this website to search for a guide? Because there's several of them.

all i really need to know is if i replace the sheriff vehicles with a model that was police.ytd for instance the carvariations.meta file do i need to change the words from police to sheriff and where does the file go for the sheriff vehicles?

The answer is, yes. Change police to sheriff, police2 to sheriff2, etc. Go in the vehicles.meta and change the first 2 police to sheriff. Only do the first 2 police lines, though.  Go in the carvariations and change the name from police to sheriff. If you cant understand what im saying, search it on youtube. Youtube can explain it better in video then i can in words. Hope i helped at least a bit :)

Thank you. sorry if i'm a pest. the only thing i'm trying to do is it was a car pack i installed it where it was suppose to go it came with three vehicles i wanna use the same three as a sheriff vehicle or at least two of them. should i put those in the same folder just named sheriff. or should those go to the patchday3ng folder.

Install all vehicles to your latest patchday folder, which should be patchday 11
