LCPDFR CRASHING GTA IV

Featured Replies

My lspdfr is constantly crashing and its driving me nuts. its a great mod and all but crashes every 10 minutes or so ive tested it with diognostic tool it says everythings good only problem is that the asilog.txt is failing here is the crashing file or whatever it is this is what it says. Please help me out its great mod and i love playing with it. ive already tried this....

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks or people using pirated software
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - These patches are needed.
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that AdvancedHook.dll, ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 , https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

thats all been done and it still crashes.

ill include the crash file and a few pictures let me know please if something been done wrong. also i have the 1.1 lspdfr installed.

  • 1 year later...

I have GTA IV and EFLC installed on my PC thru Steam. Both run properly before downgrade and mod install.

I downgraded to EFLC 1.1.2.0 and successfully installed LCPDFR 1.1 (installer, no ads). Install set to Dsound.dll, no xlive.dll in EFLC folder.

Diag tool passes 100%. Folder and all subs/files NOT set to read-only.

First run of GTA IV EFLC a Windows installer ran for Games for Windows live and only gave UNinstall option to remove.

EFLC run as administrator gives game window to cancel or play (with old create account text above). I click 'play' and get System error because Xlive.dll not found.

Deleted dsound.dll, reinstalled LCPDFR with Xlive.dll, Diag tool passes 100%. Run as administrator, click 'play' and get

FATAL ERROR: VDS100 (invalid resource detected).

Support.Rockstar suggests uninstalling any/all MS Games for Windows Live (Marketplace), etc. Uninstalled and tried to run EFLC with dsound.dll and xlive.dll alternately. But No Go. They also suggest installing .Net Framework 4 but if you try to install the currently available 4.5 in Win10 it just tells you its already part of the OS and you can only close the window.

There have been several Win 10 updates since I last ran GTA IV and EFLC, so perhaps a factor. Idk.

Help Please :)
