Hi, I was wondering if anyone would take a look at this model and fix it. It crashes when i put it in game. Thank You

Is this in its extract state for Zmodeler file? If so I can tell you your hierarchy is not setup right for starters that might cause it before I looked into fixing it. Everything outside the chassis and sheriff2 need to be placed in there.

 

Also another thing as well The Console, Computer, and Video Camera are not setup for LOD's as I didn't even have to press what LOD I wanted and they show up. That is probably the major contributing factor in it not working.

Atually the zmod files i sent you were me removing all parts from the vehicle and placing them back in one by one to see what's causing the crash. Anything that's inside the vehicle do not need LODs. It just adds more size to your file and is really unnecessary. Only parts on the outside of the vehicle need LODs, basicly for seeing the parts from different distances. So i'm pretty sure you wouldn't be seeing a laptop, console, or camera from a street away.

Ya that is true for the higher lods but if they are not in one then they are not within a dummy I'm assuming no?

 

I haven't tested it yet since I didn't have time to try it out today but I'll take a look tomorrow and see if I can pin point it for you

Ya I took it down already.

Hey Boss 

 

@72will I took a look at your file and I was able to get it to work sort of (I don't have a texture file so it'll look funny in the screen shot below) but the problem was the console and the computer and camera. They need to be setup for a LOD.

Just create two dummies and move them into your chassis heirarcy. After that name them what you want (I named one misc_z the other misc_x) and after that while L0 is not ticked on I clicked on the dummy clicked on convert node to compound, then clicked on the lock, then clicked on L0 and then moved the mesh or the actual object itself into the window just below group then unclicked L0 then the lock and that resolved the issue.
