I have installed lcpdfr and els v8, and some policecars.

When I play gta 4, on some places the game crashes.

Like on the brigde, and some other Streets.

Why does it only crash on some places?

hello to you in Mozambique!!! holy crap thats far away!! well LCPDFR is a very unstable mod. so it will crash no matter how good of a computer you have or how long you play. however, you will get more crashes if your computer doesnt have alot of memory. when you go around the water, its so massive, that it can crash your game very soon. when i played LCPDFR i tried to stay away from the water lol. you can also help by going into your graphics and setting shadow and water to low. you can tweak a few things in there to try and help your game run better.

also, installing NON els ambulances and firetrucks will help. you can also cut down on AI police by going into the LCPDFR.ini and change the number of police cars allowed on a chase and how often AI cops are dispatched to random calls. the more els cars on the screen or in "memory" the more often your games will crash. dont leave police cars sitting with sirens on. if you pass one, either blow it up or turn off the lights. its a pain, but its needed to help your game run better.

if you notice, abandoned police cars seem to stay forever and never disappear. the game can only take so many of those with their lights going before it crashes. also, i installed Game Booster 3, which shuts down non essential computer functions like printer, etc so that stuff isn't running while you play. you can also disable your virus protection while you play so that cuts out on more RAM that can be used for your game :) if you need anything else let me know. good luck and welcome to the forum!!

Okay. I now know it only crashes when ELS is installed. What can I do?

You probably overwrote a file when u installed els. First, re download lcpdfr to your desktop. Then open your els folder on ur desktop. Both have couple of same files like advanced.ini etc.. Use the newest ones.
