I'm not a novice to modding GTA games, but am very much unclear on how to best deal with updates from Rockstar. I can't seem to find any good guides on how to deal with this issue and have only come across a few workarounds for avoiding an update. I use the symbolic link method, but it's not foolproof and I eventually have to end up starting the modding process over from scratch (which isn't always a bad thing). Just wondering if anybody has a really good method for dealing with backing up their files so they can easily transition into an updated game.

    The only game backup I have is on version 617 still!
