==============================================================================================================================
In the interest of keeping this thread from being locked again, here is a shortcut/paste of the guidelines for quick viewing when on this thread, otherwise you can find all of the community guidelines here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/guideline-hub/, quick link to full terms here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/terms/

When you're on this thread, please follow the site guidelines fully, we are not exempt  or otherwise risk ruining the fun for everybody. I don't want to see a scenario where we can't have a central hub for Australian's enjoying LSPDFR because conversation has gotten too heated and the fun has been ruined by some people.
You don't have to remain strictly on topic, let's make it clear that I didn't make this thread to be absolutely strict on staying on topic, this is a discussion thread, please - discuss! In saying that, please don't stray too far away - probably not a good idea to tell us who won your local footy grand final last weekend.

I'd like to highlight some specific things that may or may not be apart of the guidelines to go by when being on this thread:
- When conversation gets too heated and you feel like you can't keep cool, please take a minute to walk away from the computer, make yourself some delicious ass Vegemite on toast and amazing ass, god tier ass, cup of hot Milo, and then come back with a level head. If you've still got a serious bone to pick, take it to the private messages.
- Whilst this isn't a tech support thread - If you need help with an Australian mod, please ask, there's lots of smart minds here and it's probably the only part of the forums where nearly everyone is using all the same vehicles/mods as you, however please consider PM'ing the developer first.
-
Don't feel like you can't talk about stuff outside of on-topic LSPDFR/Mods - but the point is please don't stay off topic for five pages, if you can see the off topic conversation will go on for a while please make a private group chat - this is in the interests of both keeping the site tidy and keeping it as on topic as possible without being all strict-y dictator-y about it, we're human, we discuss, we discuss on and off topic, but if it's going to be an extended or not-so-pretty conversation, take it to the privates.
- I'd particularly like to highlight;
don't gang up on people or abuse people. If you've got beef, bitch about someone behind their back in a group convo (it's far better that way, trust me) or talk out your problems directly in PM's.

If you follow these as well as the guidelines below,, we should be sweet to have a great discussion thread with zero threat of being locked. Thank you!

Spoiler

Easy to read:

  • Don't be abusive or discriminatory
  • No trolling
  • Don't post porn, nudity (partial, full, or censored), or be overly profane
  • Only post things that contribute to the discussion at hand
  • Do not involve money in requests - We cannot guarantee the validity transactions and our site is not for you or others to make money from, outside of the donation function.
  • Asking for reputation is not allowed
  • Refrain from posting short replies such as "lol", "+1", "cool", etc.
  • Keep the site tidy - use spoilers for logs, attach images only when needed, don't deviate from the standard font unless necessary
  • Don't bump your threads or reply to threads older than 30 days (unless they're pinned)
  • Do not add images to posts unless those images positively contribute to the discussion at hand
  • No clan ads/discussions/rants/drama (recruitment is only permissible on your profile and signature)
  • Don't post or share stolen mods
  • Report all potentially infringing content - do not attempt to address it publicly
  • Don't make or use multiple accounts
  • Do not conduct any form of piracy (uploading original game files, sharing cracks and so on).
  • Do not obstruct moderator investigations or otherwise interfere with the operation of the site. This includes telling other members what to do.
  • Impersonation of any staff member is prohibited
  • All content is subject to moderation when necessary.  Content can potentially be removed at any time for any reason.
  • Do not send members PMs asking for support. We have the forums for a reason.
  • If you have reported something and noticed that nothing has been done about it. Then think about what you are reporting. It may not have been in violation of the Guidelines. Feel free to message a moderator and inquire about the report. Do not file another report.

Full terms:

Abuse
We all want to have a good time here across the entire G17 Media Network. Any member found to be intentionally preventing other members from enjoying themselves, be that by abusing, teasing, demeaning, 'flaming' or 'trolling' them, will be subject to serious consequences.

General Etiquette
We expect members to follow and show regard for general etiquette. Forums and all types of discussions should be kept clean, tidy and readable. Posting messages or other forms of communication which are unstructured, messy or otherwise hard to read or understand should be avoided. The basic premise of all G17 Media communities and services is that members can interact freely with each other in a welcoming environment. For a more in-depth description of forum etiquette and some examples of bad practice, see http://forum-service...uette-tips.html

Discrimination
The G17 Media Network was set up as a place for enthusiastic supporters and members to interact with each other and with the projects and services offered or otherwise managed or maintained by G17 Media, irrespective of who they are or what they believe in. We strongly believe in creating a welcoming environment across all of our services and projects and will not tolerate any forms of discrimination including but not limited to those based around skin colour, ethnic background, sexual orientation or preferences, age and gender. Any members found to be in violation of this policy will face serious consequences, including network-wide banishment if necessary.

Spamming & Advertising
We expect all posts, messages and other forms of communications to be relevant to the particular G17 Media project or service that they originate from. Content which we deem to be irrelevant or otherwise undesirable to the discussion or project in question will be removed, with warnings or other disciplinary measures being issued following for repeat violations of this policy.

As part of our commitment to encouraging a welcoming and lively environment throughout all of our services, we forbid most forms of advertising. We do, however, exempt the following pages and circumstances from this policy:

  • Member profile pages.
  • Member post signatures.
  • Links to related resources or files which are relevant, and provide a valuable addition, to the subject matter at hand.
  • Any page or other communications channel where exemptions are given.

Plagiarism & Copyright
Most G17 Media services and projects depend on, and are shaped around, communities of like-minded people who share all forms of media. For legal reasons, we require that you do not upload any material that is copyrighted, or contains copyrights not owned by you. We ask that at all times the dedication, skill and work of everyone who shares content across our communities is respected and appreciated through proper acknowledgements and credits.

Profanity, Nudity, Gore & Pornography
Our projects and communities are for the most part shaped around adult video games featuring violence, sex, nudity and profanity. Although these games are intended for a mature and adult audience, we cater to a highly diverse group of people from all ages, races, religious backgrounds and genders. To keep things in balance and maintain a healthy and welcoming atmosphere, we ask that swearing and profanity is kept to a minimum and that strictly no full nudity, gore or pornography is shared on any area of the G17 Media Network, including private messages and comments.

Account Policy
We run and manage communities of tens of thousands of people. In order to maintain services like this effectively, it is essential that our members only operate and use one account on each of the services and communities we offer. Any attempts to manipulate any aspect of the G17 Media Network through the usage of multiple accounts is strictly prohibited, and will result in all 'multiple' accounts being permanently deleted, irrespective of any other penalties.

Additionally, we require that all information on member profiles and accounts is valid and accurate, such as valid e-mail addresses, ages, genders and locations. We will suspend and/or delete members that we find to be supplying incorrect information - you do not have to disclose your age, gender e-mail address or location, so there's no reason to lie about them.

Obstruction, Circumvention & Interference
We have these set of guidelines for a reason which is simply to make our site the best it possibly can be. We want to encourage people to share their content, discuss topics important to them and interact with the large community that our site thrives on. We don't however, want to allow people opportunities to use other people to their advantage, post offensive material or create a hostile or unproductive atmosphere in general. In order for us to do this, we rely on our members taking it upon themselves to follow these guidelines and obviously in cases where they don't, we have to do something about it. We simply won't tolerate it if our staff are obstructed from carrying out their duties or if any other malicious attempts are made to interfere with the operations of the community and network in general. Anyone found to be obstructing or interfering with the operation of the community or circumventing any sanctions, restrictions or limits will be subject to serious consequences, including the possibility of permanent banishment.

Content Filtration
We maintain a list of sites (or "links") which are deemed to infringe copyrights or trademarks, encourage malicious activity, be a problem for our users, or violate United Kingdom or international law. As such, linking to, or sharing in any form, these sites or entities is forbidden and will result in an error message from our servers. Attempts to evade this policy are strictly prohibited - we only add to this list in extreme cases, and always for good reason.

User Submitted Content
In addition to our other policies on content hosted or shared on the G17 Media Network, we also forbid the following from being uploaded to or shared on our network:

  • Files and tools which we deem to be malicious in nature, such as spyware, adware, viruses and other inappropriate content.
  • Game modifications or other files which interfere with or otherwise adversely affect the game or the playing experience for yourself or others.
  • Any other content which we deem poses a threat or risk to our services, members or communities.

CPR
When using the G17 Media Network, please ensure that you are courteous, professional and respectful - doing so will ensure that you are viewed favourably by our staff teams and other G17 Media members.

  • Courtesy
  • Professionalism
  • Respect

Note: In exceptional circumstances, rules and regulations asides from these may have to be applied. Members will receive no notification of them, but they shall be posted following their initial use to ensure consistency of network management.

* For the last few months I've slacked off with updating this post with newly released mods (I doubted whether anyone actually used it); over the coming weeks I'll endeavor to get around to fully updating all lists to show all relevant releases. Thanks for your patience.

==============================================================================================================================

This thread is a general discussion thread for Australian LSPDFR players and LSPDFR Australia fans, this main post will feature a list of many things including youtubers that feature an Australian theme in their videos, some must-have Australian cars and mods and the profiles of some awesome developers of the Australian cars, characters, audio files and scripts.
For a while I was thinking why isn't there an Australian discussion thread? Why doesn't someone make one? But I must admit the final "yeah, nah, screw it, I'll be the one to do it why not" was prompted by Macgregor's status update: "Someone should make an Australian discussion thread".

I think this post will be ever-evolving and an ever-useful hub for us Aussie gamers looking to make our game feel right at home. Basically all this thread is, is a collaboration of links put together in one easy to find spot, and a central place to discuss.

I'll be constantly editing this main post to update info, and I'll try not to use reply's so that the info is all in one spot, one post.
Use the rest of this thread to discuss, suggest, or update on anything.

Cheers.

If you want me to add anything to any list, just give me a shout and I'll get onto it.

It was coming anyway , I just hopped off for dinner/tele. Gotta scan/ basically stalk through everyones profiles and add anything I've missed on the first run, first run was for the main things and to get the thread kick started.

You read my mind, was just about to make a WIP section. Will add this in to it in a minute.
I think the rank badge on the shoulder should be just a little thicker on the Female model, looks a little thin in the far right pic. #constructivecriticism

That's just a crease in the shirt - If you look at it from a different angle it's fine.

In other news, the state of my desktop is utter chaos at the moment

Basically I did some stuff with my monitor and it reset it. Before it was SLIGHTLY more organised. And this is just one monitor... If you look carefully you might find some secrets. (or more likely, VERY IMPORTANT THINGS that will probably get lost XD)

Basically I did some stuff with my monitor and it reset it. Before it was SLIGHTLY more organised. And this is just one monitor... If you look carefully you might find some secrets. (or more likely, VERY IMPORTANT THINGS that will probably get lost XD)

Yeah I've had that happen before.. Organise my desktop all neart like so:

And then nVidia drivers wanna update and screw my shit up. desktop.png

As you'll see by my desktop I'm very OCD borderline probably insane about organisation, even in a cool pattern. For me, this is a messy desktop that I haven't organised in a while.
As my desktop hints my laptop is basically just for games and I don't really do many purposeful things on it.

Ute_Sign_1 on your desktop catches my eye but (;

Hmm embedded links are now saying "you are sending too many requests - excess requests are being dropped"
I think I might have to change the links in the spoilers to all normal links instead of embedded tomorrow, even though the embedded links all look so damn pretty, it's good to have the preview... But that's a job for tomorrow me.

You missed the greatest car of all

That car's actually amazing. Me and blueheelers were wondering, where'd you get that bumper from? Did you make it yourself or get humster or somebody to make it

Argh, I cant see the greatest car cause of the stupid forum limits on those fancy links :(

On the topic of car models, I'd absolutely love to see the following made:

 - Unmarked Holden Ute (not sure on the exact model they use here in the ACT, probably a VE/VF)

- Northern Territory Hilux Paddy Wagon (Cage and tarp instead of the pod used in more civilized states)

- NSWPF Road/Snow Safe Lexus Hybrids (mostly after the Snow Safe car for some winter Mt Chiliad patrols)

- More Aussie unmarked cars, not sure about other states but here we have a variety, would love to see a Falcon, Camry, maybe a Landcruiser or similar (pretty sure ACT has a RAV4 too, but who wants to drive one of those?)

Totally get that car models take a ton of time and sometimes a bunch of cash as well, so I get that these most likely wont get made, just putting it out there since we've got so many talented aussie car modders here :)

VFII, you're missing out.

You mean one like this? but an SS variation not evoke https://gyazo.com/305a57ea7b0e101374bad432bf48f5dc

Falcon on the way, ford territory on the way, evoke on the way, SS(s) on the way

Looked it up, apparently the one we use is a VE SS. I'm not a huge stickler for things being spot-on accurate though, so I'd be content driving that Evoke around too :D

Looking forward to the new cars, the Hilux was certainly worth the wait :D
