Question regarding mod and controller.

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I'm new to this forum and was wondering, which version has support for a gamepad (xbox controller for e.g).

Also in terms of the overall game, If i download a version of LCPDFR, can I play the whole game only as cop - doing missions for the police?

thanks alot.

You may use a controller to play the game on .95 but you still need to use the keyboard to arrest suspects, initiate traffic stops, etc. There may be third party software that can map key presses to a controller but someone else will have to answer that, I don't use controllers.

You can buy GTA IV and play only lcpdfr, but you do need to complete the first mission as a regular player (without the mod installed) to avoid issues. After that, you can use the mod normally without ever having to play a GTA mission. You can use Simple Native Trainer to unlock access to all islands so you can roam as you please. Be advised, you can not save the game (and you can't allow an autosave) while you are on duty. You must go off-duty and then you can save your progress.

EDIT: If you mean play regular GTA missions as an officer, you can't do that as far as I am aware. Some cutscenes will crash (personal experience....)
