I know this may be a stupid question, but I don't really know much about updating on the PC version because I play GTA on my Xbox primarily. Anyway, when I go to play the game it just plays without prompting me to update. In fact I can start the old version of rage with all my mods perfectly. I'm not exactly complaining, I'm just curious on why this is happening in case I want to update in the future. Any ideas? 

and yes... I did try to search for my issue and didn't really find anything haha. 

This is happening to me too. Make sure firewalls arent blocking it maybe.

It's really weird. My firewalls are off and the only antivirus I have is malware bytes which doesn't really block anything 

Hmmm. I dont really know why this is happening.

If you're launching the game through GTAVLauncher.exe and not PlayGTAV.exe it will not download the update.

yep, thats it for me. Now to try LSPDFR out and see if I get an error some people were getting.

Thank you! I think I'll wait to do that until all the plugins are updated for the new rage.

No, retail. Steam should automatically download the updates unless your settings prevent it.
