I Can't Install Modded Police Cars In My Game

Featured Replies

So I tried to install modded police vehicles from this site and i follow all of the directions and put the files where they need to be but then when i start the game and spawn them in it just spawns the normal default in-game police car.

P.S I am new to modding GTAV I have modded GTAIV for about 1 year now so any help is great regarding GTAV

@ARufus18 What police cars are you trying to install? I'll try to help you.

Also, are you using a 'mods' folder? If you have a mods folder, have you copy and pasted the RPF files you want to edit to the folder?

Do you have these 2 files in your GTA 5 directory, ASI loader and OpenIV.ASI?

All of the .rpf files

@ARufus18 Make a folder in your GTA 5 directory and call it mods.

Then copy and paste the Update file into the folder.

Now copy and paste the x64e file. Most vehicles go into these two files.

Also, please provide a link to the vehicle you are wanting to install.

Only the x64e.rpf file? Here is the link:

@ARufus18 Copy and paste a file named Update too.

Okay, have you installed the car to this location, Update / x64 / dlpacks / patchday4ng / dlc.rpf / x64 / levels / gta5 / vehicles.rpf

yes i have tried before but when i go in game it doesn't appear only the Vanilla game police car does. Do i need to only put the x64e file in the mods folder?

@ARufus18 You don't need to. Put x64e into the mods folder if a new police vehicle you want to install goes into this RPF file.

Are you sure you have ASI loader and OpenIV.ASI installed? To check, open up OpenIV and then go to Tools and finally ASI Manager.

@ARufus18 Why don't you try and install a new police car and see if the game loads it. Try this police car for instance.

And it'll work.

Geez.

Ok Hystery i did but your guide is not deatailed at all! You don't say anything about moving .rpf files into the mods folder and i have done all of those things and it still hasnt worked! But i do use patch3ng so if there is something differant i have todo there please tell me instead of linking your guide that doesnt work for me.

Quite the contrary, it's quite detailed. I literally detailed every single step.

I do. Actually, I say it in those exact terms, quoting myself from the guide: "At the date of 04/04/2016, the latest DLC patch that has been released by Rockstar is the patch called patchday9ng. This DLC patch is located with all the other DLC patches, at this location: update/x64/dlcpacks. You will find the folder called patchday9ng there. Inside, a dlc.rpf. You will right click on it and click on "Copy to mod folder". Once done, you'll automatically be in the dlc.rpf archive, so you'll just have to navigate to x64/level/gta5, and you will find the vehicles.rpf archive."

Strange that you speak about stuff called "patch3ng", which doesn't exist by the way, when in my guide I talk about "patchday9ng", which is completely unrelated.

You actually didn't read my guide at all and you just want the solution to be spoonfed to you. Too bad, it won't happen. If you want to mod your game, you've to make an effort on your end.

Everyone who read my guide managed to make their car mods work. I doubt you're less intelligent than them, so read the guide thoroughly, do as it is told, and by an incredible black magic, it'll work.
