Haven't been in game longer than 5 minutes for the last few days... GTAIV is the only game that I've been playing lately. Added a few cars and now all of a sudden it decides to crap out on me? Any help?!

Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR!

Please do the following: 

• Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks or people using pirated software
• Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - These patches are needed.  
• Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
• Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
• Ensure that AdvancedHook.dll, ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
• Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
• Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
• Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.

In some cases, your issue is resolved after following the above steps. If it did help, please let everyone know in the topic that your issue is resolved. If you do have to post a topic, do the following;

• Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log).
• Include as much information as possible.
• Post your system specifications.
• Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods.

okay i'm simply guessing from your post that is has to be the cars you installed. if the cars are too large there is a great possibility that your game will crash. now that isn't always the case, but its possible that you installed one car too many :P your game probably was on the verge of crashing and then you installed a big file and that pushed it over the edge. just to try out the simplest method, take out those last cars you installed and replace them with a smaller file. see how that goes. if it loads up but crashes when the game starts, then you might just need to delete a save point. i did notice when i played that if i installed a car and saved the game, that even if i removed that car from the game it would still crash because the "save game" was still hunting for that car.

again this is all just previous experience in problems on my half. so this may or may not be your case. lemme know what happens and i'll see what i can do to help more. in any case, if this doesn't happen please post some logs for me that i can take a look at :)
