Cannot mod default M9 pistol & sirens question

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm attempting to replace the default M9 pistol with this - https://www.gta5-mods.com/weapons/max-payne-3-glock-for-v-animated

The readme says to download one spot.  Tried it, didn't work.    Someone posted in the comments to try another location, that the weapons moved.  Tried that, still not working.  What is the actual location to replace this pistol?

I'm wanting to use these NYPD Rumbler sirens - https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/nypd-rumbler-siren

In the download there's vehicles.awc, and then "sounds" folder with the different sirens for me to click on and hear.  Is that just a preview of what I'm downloading, or where does that folder go? Also, to my knowledge, this pack is only  for police vehicles, not FIB.  How do I make it work for FIB?

@Arariel

It does indeed go into patchday8ng. It is preferable to create a mods folder when using modded game files.

@pjrthefox

Thanks.  Per the rumbler siren, are the sounds folder just for the sake of previewing?

Hello,

I was courteous.  I waited 10 hours, and  without any reply, bumped it. I'm sorry, but if 10+ hours go by and my topic is on  the second page or father with no replies, I'm bumping it so I can get some help.

I still cannot mod the pistols.  I modded the carbine, but the sns pistol and default WILL not work. Can someone please tell me how to mod the pistols?

patchday8ng is the latest weapons.rpf update. If you can't get it to work, maybe you should contact the author of said mod about why you can't get it to work.

That's what is so weird, I'm trying 2 different weapons, one to replace the SNS, and one  to replace the M9.  It's not working at all.  I've followed the instructions exactly, and tried it multiple times.

I'll try modding another weapon, and see if it works.
